EPIRB 406 GPS McMurdo SmartFind beacon: the Smartfind Plus GPS EPIRB has been designed to enhance further the lifesaving capabilities of conventional beacons. The standard Global Positioning System (GPS) uses an array of 27 satellites and provides continuous positional information with a typical accuracy of around 30m. It has a built in GPS, and when the beacon is activated in an emergency, positional information is incorporated into the distress message which it transmits, will emit during at least 48Hrs. The beacon is associated to the boat, that is to say that the Oniros characteristics are known by the emergency services for a better rescue efficiency.

DoLink positioning system: this additional beacon allows the tracking of Oniros, which increases the positioning safety. It may also be used by your family and friends to know just by clicking where the boat is and what is the meteo there.

Inflatable lifejackets: Although the regulation allows to have only static life jackets, you will find inflatable life jackets on Oniros. They suit perfectly to your body and are easy to wear. They are equipped with a harness and a safety line.

Raymarine C90W Widescreen gps plotter: this genuine calculator centralizes information about wind (speed, direction), depth, speed (log, gps), cape and rudder status.

Colorado Garmin gps: used as an auxiliary, this gps has the detailed cartography of the Mediterranean and has all the marine functions of a gps (waypoints, roads, speed, vmg, drift…).

AIS McMurdo SmartFind M15-S receiver: an automatic tracking system used for identifying and locating vessels by electronically exchanging data with other nearby ships, AIS base stations, and satellites. It is connected to the on-board PC and to the Raymarine plotter.

Offshore flare pack: contains 3 red parachute rockets (30.000 candelas during 40 seconds, altitude 300m), 3 red hand held (15.000 candelas during 60 seconds) and 1 orange smoke buoyant flares. Contains also a signal mirror and softwood plugs. Oniros is also equipped with a foghorn and a radar reflector.

Fire safety: 3 fire extinguishers are laid out at the adequate places on board, their position and their use will be explained upon your arrival. A fire blanket is laid out close to the cooker.

Bombard life raft: Oniros is equipped with a life raft which can accommodate up to 10 people. Oniros is equipped and authorized for 10 persons, but will host a maximum of 8 persons.

IOR telescopic Danbuoy: consists of a 3 part telescopic fibreglass pole with an “Oscar Man-Overboard” flag. It extends to 3.5m, with 2.5m above water. Used for localization in case of a “Man-Overboard” situation.

Horse shoe with fixed light: they contribute to the localization in case of a “Man-Overboard” situation.

Cobra II and Fortress FX23 anchors: the main anchor on Oniros is a 20kg weight Cobra II with 52m of chain Ø 10mm and 30m Ø 18mm rope. The secondary/kedge anchor is a Fortress FX23 weighing 6,3kg manufactured from a hardened aluminium magnesium alloy, with a 50m rope.

Sails: Oniros is equipped with a full batten main sail (42m2) with 3 reefs and a cunningham, an hydranet triradial furling genoa (49m2). Oniros is also equipped with a 19m2 staysail.
